For using WhatsApp on multiple smartphones, the companion mode must be activated. Here’s how you can do it:
- Begin by installing WhatsApp on your secondary smartphone.
- During setup, accept the privacy policies.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
- When prompted for your phone number, skip this step and use the three dots to open a drop-down menu.
- Select the option to link this phone as a companion device.
- A QR code will appear; scan it to link your secondary phone to your account.
